International conference on the financial crisis in Asia is scheduled for 4-6 February in Beijing
A conference on social and economic impact of the financial crisis in Asia is scheduled from February 4-6 2010.
UNDP as part of its regional initiative on the global financial and economic crisis, commissioned a series of country case studies. The studies are now complete and a conference will be held in early February to discuss the studies for further action. Over the next few months, UNDP will be working towards wider dissemination of the findings in the case studies, identifying and documenting good practices on social protection,and providing country specific policy advisory and technical support on strengthening social protection and safety net programmes.
