This programme seeks a broader, comprehensive approach to supporting Sri Lanka in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). As a follow-up to the first phase of “Achieving the Millennium Development Goals” (SRL/03/005), the programme seeks to mobilize a programmatic effort in support of policies, programmes, and institutional and capacity development that will enable Sri Lanka to achieve the MDGs by 2015.

  • Incorporating the MDGs into national policy frameworks for achievement of goals at national and local levels.
  • MDG capacities for development
  • Monitoring progress on the MDGs
