Financing for Second National Communication to the UNFCCC

Sl Map

Countries that have ratified the UNFCCC are required to periodically report their country’s status on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. UNDP through funds from Global Environment Facility supported the preparation of the First National Communication for Sri Lanka which was submitted in 2001. The current project aims to update the information in that report and  carry out further, more detailed analysis of mitigation and adaptation scenarios in the country to be presented to UNFCCC as Sri Lanka’s Second National Communication.

Objectives

  • Prepare and submit Sri Lanka’s Second National Communication to UNFCCC
