The Transition Recovery Programme is currently developing a fully-fledged social cohesion component to its programme, which will look at avenues for promoting co-existence across and among communities. The Programme is also innovating a UNDP-led interagency recovery project in the Batticaloa district, which will ideally serve as learning experience for how UN agencies can coordinate their interventions better so as to offer a seamless package of assistance to beneficiary communities.
