programme
United Nations Volunteers (UNV) is the volunteer arm of the United Nations that support sustainable human development globally, through the promotion of volunteerism and the mobilization of volunteers. Created by the UN General Assembly in 1970, and administered by the UNDP, UNV works through UNDP country offices to send volunteers and promote the ideals of volunteerism around the world. UNV is universal, inclusive and embraces voluntary action in all its diversity. It values the freewill, commitment, engagement and solidarity, which are the foundations of volunteerism.
